1. Will my phone work with an eSIM?
Most phones released since 2018 support eSIM, including iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and Google Pixel 3 and newer. Your phone must also be unlocked from your network. Check yours in seconds on the device compatibility checker.
2. Do I keep my phone number and WhatsApp?
Yes. WhatsApp is linked to your account, not your SIM, so it works exactly as before. Your UK SIM stays in the phone alongside the eSIM, so your number does not change.
3. Can I still receive calls and texts abroad?
Yes. Travel eSIMs are data-only, but with dual SIM your normal SIM stays active for calls and texts (standard roaming rates apply to those), while the eSIM handles all your data at local prices. Bank verification texts still arrive as normal.
