Trip of the month: terms and conditions

Version v2. These terms apply to every monthly "Trip of the month" prize promotion run by SimplySIM. By entering you agree to them.

1. Promoter

The promoter is SimplySIM, the trading name of SIMPLYSIM SOLUTIONS LTD (company no. 16302568), 4 Gallowsfield Walk, Market Drayton, England, TF9 3FP ("we", "us"). You can contact us about the promotion at hello@simplysim.co.uk.

2. Who can enter

The promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over with a SimplySIM account.
To qualify you must follow @simplysimuk on Instagram and the SimplySIM Facebook page at the time of entry and until the winner is announced. SimplySIM may check this before awarding the prize.
Employees of the promoter, their immediate families and households, and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion may not enter.
We may ask any entrant or winner for proof of age, residence and identity. If it is not provided, or shows that the entrant was not eligible, the entry will be disqualified.

3. How to enter

Follow @simplysimuk on Instagram and the SimplySIM Facebook page.
In the SimplySIM app, open Trip of the month and submit an original photo you took on a trip to any destination, the destination, a star rating and an honest review of your experience with SimplySIM.
Post the same photo publicly on Instagram, TikTok or Facebook, tagging @simplysimuk and including the hashtags #SimplySIMTrip and #ad.
In the app, give your username on that platform and confirm that you have posted. Your entry is complete once you have done this. You may also add a link to your post, but you do not have to.

SimplySIM will check that the post exists on the account you named, is public, tags @simplysimuk and carries the hashtags. If we cannot find it, the entry may be rejected. The post must stay public until the winner for that month has been announced.

Entry is free. No purchase is necessary, although you need a SimplySIM account (free to create) and the normal cost of internet access applies. Automated, bulk or third-party entries are not accepted.

4. Entry period

Each month is a separate promotion. Entries open at 00:00 UK time on the first day of the month and close at 23:00 UK time on the last day of the month. Entries completed after the closing time, or posts not published by then, will not be included. The closing time for the current month is shown in the app.

5. One entry per person per month

You may enter once per calendar month. If we reject an entry you may submit a replacement before the closing time. You can withdraw your entry in the app while that month is open.

6. Your photo and review

Your photo must be your own original work, taken by you, and you must have the permission of anyone identifiable in it. It must not include anything offensive, unlawful or that infringes anyone else's rights.
Your review must reflect your genuine experience. You do not have to say anything positive to enter or to win, and the content of your review does not affect your chances.
Because you are entering a promotion, your post is an incentivised post and must be clearly labelled with #ad, as required by the Advertising Standards Authority and the Competition and Markets Authority.

7. Community guidelines and reporting

Verified entries may be shown to other SimplySIM users in the community feed in the app. Photos and reviews must not contain nudity or sexual content, violence, hate speech or harassment, or photos of other people used without their permission. Photos are checked automatically and by our team. SimplySIM may remove any content, and disqualify any entry, that breaks these guidelines.

To report an entry, use the report button on it in the app or email hello@simplysim.co.uk. You can also hide all entries from a particular person. We review reports and handle complaints within 7 days.

8. Judging and how the winner is chosen

We check each entry to confirm the post exists on the account given, is public, tags @simplysimuk and carries the required hashtags. All entries are verified and a shortlist is chosen by SimplySIM on originality, quality and relevance; the winner is then selected at random from the shortlist, with the selection recorded. The random selection is made by computer after the month closes. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The prize

There is one prize each month: a promo code giving 100% off one SimplySIM eSIM, up to a value of £10 (or the equivalent in the currency of your basket). If the eSIM you choose costs more, you pay the difference.
The code is locked to the winner's SimplySIM account, can be used once, on one order, and is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued.
The prize is non-transferable, has no cash alternative and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Any unused value is lost.
A £0.50 card verification charge applies when the prize code is used: if the order total after the discount is less than £0.50 (including when the eSIM is fully covered by the prize), you pay £0.50 to complete the order. This is the only amount you may need to pay for an eSIM costing £10 or less.
We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control require it.

10. Winner notification and prize delivery

The winner will be notified within 3 days of the close of the month by email and in the SimplySIM app. The prize code will be issued within 30 days of the close of the month. If we cannot reach the winner, or the winner is found to be ineligible, we may choose another winner from the shortlist in the same way.

11. Winner details

The winner's first name, photo, review and destination may be shown in the app and on our channels. The winner's surname and county are available on request by emailing hello@simplysim.co.uk within 3 months of the close of the relevant month. If the winner objects to their information being published or made available they may ask us not to, but we may still have to provide it to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

12. Use of your content

By entering you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, crop and publish your photo and review in SimplySIM marketing (including our app, website, emails and social media), with attribution by your first name. You keep the copyright in your photo. You can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing hello@simplysim.co.uk; we will stop new uses within a reasonable time, but cannot recall material already published or printed.

13. Social media platforms

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, TikTok or Facebook (Meta). You are providing your entry to SimplySIM, not to those platforms, and you release them from any liability connected with the promotion.

14. Your data

We use the personal data you provide to run the promotion, contact the winner and, where you have agreed, to use your content as described above. See our privacy policy for how we handle personal data and your rights.

15. Disqualification and changes

We may disqualify any entry or entrant that breaks these terms, is fraudulent, uses multiple accounts, or attempts to manipulate the promotion, and may withhold or cancel a prize in those cases. We may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion where circumstances outside our reasonable control make it necessary, and will tell entrants if we do. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
