Egypt has introduced strict new rules for mobile phones brought in from abroad. If you insert an Egyptian SIM card into a foreign device, the phone must now be registered and taxed. If this is not completed within 90 days, the device may be blocked from using Egyptian networks SimplySIM eSIMs are NOT affected by this restriction. Our service remains fully accessible and functional in Egypt and you will not have to register your device in Egypt. You can continue to use us exactly as before.   • Can I buy an eSIM at the airport?

    While some airports do sell eSIMs, it's much better to purchase your eSIM online before you travel: you get more plan choice, can install it before departure, and arrive with connectivity already sorted.
